Bruckner was 11 when she began her career. Bruckner appeared in several commercials, pilots for television and a soap opera The Bold and the Beautiful at the time of daytime broadcast in 1999. The first time she played a lead character took place as a lead in Blue Car (2002), an independent movie in which she portrayed a teenager who had an affair David Strathairn as her high school teacher. The couple came together in Hungary and immigrated into the U.S. in 1984 through a refugee camp in Italy. She has a sister and a brother.
